Not of All, But You
Was it you that left me wondering
How else the rain falls,
Or is it the skies, ripped apart and beaten?
Was it your eyes that deceived me,
Or was it the crowd of lies
Lying beyond the door?
When will it be that the ground stops burning
And the skies stop falling?
When will I ever learn that it wasn't real
But a mistake from a part of you?
It wasn't another impurity,
A reckless abrogation of lies,
No dear, it was not of all but you.
