Why is it that everything is far off?
Looking through dark chambers 'round which light gathers
Sealed off
Tunnels of curiosity that keep the mind
You couldn't know where the gloom sets
Nor why the children smile beneath the weight of tears
Innocence lost?
Let's pretend for but a moment
That we know less than we do
Perhaps the waters are still and murky yet
This, back before time
Now, not even a dream
One shudders at the thought and turns
Heel, toe, heel, toe
Don't come back just yet
For we still don't know the answers
But don't forget us in the hall.
Now, like a whale spewing foam
Now, like a cyclone shredding timber
