O Death

O Death, spare me just another year
My life has all been wasted, this I know
Please let me bid adieu to the one I hold dear.

O Death, you saw me run from things I fear,
Considering no one friend, but everyone foe
O Death, spare me just another year

Unfaithful to my darling, at the adulteresses I did leer
I became glutton for evil, like a fat boy for sweet dough
Please let me bid adieu to the one I hold dear.

Spent all my money on drugs, women, and beer,
Now that I'm left with no Bordeaux, I ask, with a slight kowtow
O Death, spare me just another year.

As this noose tightens, I can hear her Bronx cheer
Such a fool, I pecked at her everything like a carrion crow
Please let me bid adieu to the one I hold dear.

Into the Shadow of the Valley of Death I do peer,
As regret embraces me, my tears do freely flow,
O Death, spare me just another year
Please let me bid adieu to the one I hold dear.
