O firmament, o firmament,
You are but a palimpsest.
Behind the masquerade of your clouds,
Lie concealed the reflections,
Of civilizations past and present.
O firmament, o firmament,
You are the witness of all,
the observer of all.
Yet you silently float,
Above the cacophony below.
