Back in the beginning of time
When Adam and Eve gave things name and rhyme
The world was simple and fresh anew
The complications were far and few
Who could've foreseen that temptation would be found down the lane
That the phrase "forbidden fruit" would become a familiar refrain
If Eve only knew what problems she had created
For those of us who have followed in her past
Touching things forbidden that could never possibly last
