Ocean Song

The waves roll softly on the salty pebbles
The spray is splattered all upon the shore
Water, sky meet on the far horizon
Cascading blues mix, blending o'er and o'er

Green ribbons twisted throughout sparkled waters
White seashells scattered all along the sand
Laid down, as currents bring them to the sea line
As if guided by some master artist's hand

Some silver minnows race along the white crests
A crab is tumbled in a rush of blue
A seagull cries as waves rise up to meet him
So joining in the ocean song, he flew
