October Time

May the leaves start falling in all their grace,
While a jack-o'-lantern smiles at you with a spooky face,
Skeletons dance and bats do fly,
It's October time, me oh my.

As the witch cackles stirring her magical brew,
The autumn fall wind will sing to you,
Apples, pumpkins, and Ichabod Crane,
Cider, squash, and a headless horseman with no name.

Halloween's eve is soon on its way,
Listen to the wolf howl that mystical day,
Dracula is ready and his night is soon to be here,
Light the black candle and watch the witches appear.

Trick or treat is the game the children play,
Bags of candy are their hope for the day,
The moon is full with a yellow glow,
Company is coming, oh my, it's time to go.

Enjoy the season and the time to be had,
Don't forget to be good and not bad,
Why you say, it's odd I ask?
Remember he wears a red suit not a mask!
