Ode to a Tom Boy

And I wonder how often I’ve spoke,
About things that were never a joke,
“My tits are too big”, “my shorts are too small”,
So I deserve the guy who makes my skin crawl?
I became too tough, stood up for myself
That was a problem, I’ll only rely on myself
From now on, I’ll depend, I’ll make my own my way
I’ve learned no one cares, but they have everything to say
