Ode to an insomniac

My dear sleepless one
I have been remiss!
I offer u respite..
Pray do not refuse out of spite.
A glass of holy cows gift,
will calm u when drunk warm.
Relax have Engima playing...
softly by your arm.
Some office work,
Some evening sport activity.
Even though u prefer tea,
Do try a Chinese variety!
Once u lay down,
breathe in breathe out.
Close your tired eyes.
Go to the last peaceful place you walked in.
Relive the path the sensations.
Do not brood or imagine.
How gently u slip in dreamland,
you never Will know.
The elusive reality of rest,
will not be put to test.
God bless!
