Ode to the Odd Pioneers

The road to the frontier
Is now four lanes wide
Where modern day pioneers
Race side by side.

On God's little acre
Is an A-frame lodge.
And the covered wagon
Is a Chevy or Dodge

Getting away from it all
Is a worn-out phrase
'Cause outfitting the camper
Is a business that pays.

If you want to be alone
It really is a pity.
'Cause on weekends now, the solitude
Is found downtown in the city.
