Oh, Little girl

Oh little girl can’t you hear?
i’m calling out your name
Oh little girl what’s your fear?
for you are not to blame.

Oh little girl come play with me
just this little game,
Oh little girl can’t you see
there is no room for shame.

Oh little girl don’t give it up
you haven’t reached your claim
Oh little girl don’t spill your cup
you’re on your way to fame.

and if anyone should ask
“how did you get there?”
you’ll give ‘em a simple quip,
how that little boy inside of you
kept telling you not to quit.

This Poems Story

This was inspired a long time ago. I was friends with many female gymnasts who were at an elite status and had a chance of going to the olympics. I really loved one of them and she fought with herself whether to continue her efforts because she wasn\'t liking her coach too much. Of course my wanting her to be my girlfriend, didn\'t help her situation. So in a way, i gave this poem to her, for not to give up.
