Oh So Morbid

Strength, aspire and the need to love
A fate that fits me, like a glove

This fate though, causes strife
Hatred fueling my cynical life

Lies surround me, shadows and all
They affect me like a lion's maul

Scratches, bruises, enough's enough
They don't hurt me, is quite the bluff

My scars don't protect the constant bleed
Afraid of death, an absence of creed

Constant sorrow, a want of closure
Anxiety, and a lack of composure

Lies forbid, I say the truth
Oh so morbid, my loss of youth

My mind ripples with astonishing fear
The sense of happiness is reluctantly queer
