By Georgie

Oh! you forget
Old age has a dress.
A change of skin- deep furrows
Carved underneath and the supple
Tenderness of your bodily fabric
Stretched to eternity.
Where time seems to move slow
And death seems nigh.
Where the sun is tired and mountains melt
Eyes that only see the end,
Our tongue having a sour taste of it all.
