Old Friend

I'm sorry old pal
That our chapter is done
That you valued yourself
More than my love
My needs were never seen
Hidden behind the queens
That's how we ended up
Leaving this scene
You want me back
I know it's true
But my life is better
without you
If love was ever felt
If care was ever shown
I would be with you
Not standing on my own
I don't need you here
But that isn't seen
The needs that are noticed
Are those of the queen
All my needs and wants
are a mystery to tho
Selfish though it seems I am
Rude may I appear to be
Living free of your clutches
Is what is right for me
