Old Lady

Old lady,
Your eyes have failed you,
but your craving for pastries
is relentless.
Your skin is entangled in leaves
and you smell like acceptable pooh.
You shake your backside when you see me.
Statistics say that means you’re happy.
I’ve climbed fences to get to you
but I would carry you here if I could.
You aren’t mine, but I love you.
