Old

Old
Should I try to live for good?
Do you really think we should?
Mother will you heed the calls
Or is it only those with balls
That are busy building walls?

Do you think that it’s a shame
That people will die just the same?
The population grows or stalls
And by its youth it lives or falls
Not if some dotard walks or crawls.

There’s always someone weeps and cries
When some poor bastard ups and dies
We see them huddled up in their shawls
Or crowded into shelter halls
Hospitals, old people’s homes and shopping malls.
