Ole Joe

Once I sat, in your open lap,
In infantile slumber,
Our bond grew stronger

With each first step,
You were there for them all,
There with me, for when I may fall

A tiger in your heart,
But not bound to the crust,
You were always the bravest among us

Even when your time, grew to an end,
You reached for the sky,
And I always knew, the reason why

That's where you belonged,
With your family at hand,
I would have loved to see you see me, Turn into a man.
