On a slack line

Days move like steps on a slack line
Rain drops on the narrow-leaved lupines
Blue mood, steady rain
rat race – again and again

Nights move like steps on a slack line
Nightmares collapse on the cliff line
New moon, ball and chain
rat race – again and again

I look into my eyes - I’m a captive of a restless life
Who tries - to stop the crescendo of his silent cries

Days and nights tied by a slack line
Tall lupines spread on the cliff line
Sacrifice and strain
Rat race – again and again

I look into my eyes - I’m a captive of a restless life
Who tries - to stop the crescendo of his silent cries
