On Arab Ground (1991)

Now on Arab ground I stand
With no foundation; only sand.
Shifting...sinking hearts unfold;
Hints of hatred as yet untold.

Ancient, rigid, impossible rule
Murder and hunger used as a tool
To ravage and pillage, for terror's sake
Innocent children forced to quake.

Judaism, Islam it matters not
That Christ once reigned on this foul plot,
Or that the love once taught is tainted
And where He walked has now been painted

With the blood of the innocent
Through the hatred of men,
Until we find ourselves lost again.

Yet steadfast,
Devoid of fear
We find nothing Godly here.
So scorning, hating, ruling man
Hath killed his mother, daughter and

Still on Arab ground I stand.
