On Sunlight’s Beams

If in the coming days I'm told,
that all I own must soon be sold,
I'll gather not regret that gleams,
for I have danced on sunlight's beams

If I should cease to see dawn's sight,
and spend my days in blackened light,
I'll treasure all of mem'ries reams,
for I have danced on sunlight's beams

If at the end of this long life,
my world is filled with grievous strife,
I'll quarrel not with midnight dreams,
for I have danced on sunlight's beams
