On the Foggy Moor
On the foggy moor she came,
Ethereal, flowing.
Fingers of fine bone,
Is there a heart there?
On the foggy moor she walked,
Face upturned, question.
Cheekbones first,
Is there a heart beating?
On the foggy moor she stood,
Eyes inside see through.
Tiny cage of ribs,
Around...a heart?
On the foggy moor she felt,
Bloodless, spectral her dress.
White sheath,
Heart shaped invisible
On the foggy moor she leapt,
Shadow form left.
Apparition falls away, water,
Water, water everywhere.
Heart, love, everywhere, nowhere.
On the foggy moor she dwells.
