Once Upon a Time

Some children's fairy tales begin with
"Once upon a time" a song at times
With a verse, both are introductions of what
Is to come and set the tone or mood of
The story or song
While one is read and related
With relish, gusto, humor, daring,
Laughter and on occasion sadness.
The song is sung with a hint of
Innuendo, suggestion or a hint of
What is to come or with great depth
All of these things are of course in
The hands of the story teller or singer
So tell them well and you will have a
Captivated audience in the palm of your hand
That will never forget the evening they spent
with you.
