One Blink of An Eye

We turned our heads and you were there
You were a kind and wonderful young man
A person who was always ready to lend hand
You loved cooking for your grandmother
You were a people person with a great personality
You even had a friend, who came to your home
you open the door he fell into your arms and died
As you travel down life's highway
People knew they coud depend on you; anytime
Your smile could brighten up a person heart
like the sun rays on a cold winter day
The world will never know the truth of 2/2006
Just like so many black young men
People take heed, "all it takes is a blink of an eye
Now here's a Family with an empty space
and tears that will forever flow
