One Day

We live in a world of embarrassment
Everyone living with bad intent
To do us harm
Not keep us warm
Survival and quarrel and punishment

Whatever we feel we keep deep inside
Hoping none notice our foolish pride
Are we wrong to
Sing our song
Others will use it to make us hide

Ours is a dangerous storm-tossed land
Where strings attached come with a helping hand
Hope one day
Come what may
Peace will be practiced by all of man
