One of These Nights

The gentle dance of the cicadas
Like the soft trills of a violinists fingers
as they brush across the strings
Can you hear their song?
Skipping to the sound of the midnight breeze
Treading along the quiet lake
Watch the lily pads swim
Their tears glisten in the eyes of the fireflies
who light a path along the creak
Leaving candles at your feet,
with every step you take
As you venture into the world,
I hope you remember one of these nights
