One Tear Away

I am a single tear,
the one you will not shed.
No crying for a year,
you bite your tongue instead.

I am the tear of change,
but you won't let me by.
Emotions rearranged,
but still you will not cry.

I am the tear of fear,
with no place I can go.
It seems like it's been years,
since you let one tear flow.

I am the tear of loss,
you have not shed me yet.
You lie in bed and toss,
I know you can't forget.

The day your heart went cold,
you know you should have cried.
You need not act so bold,
your tears build up inside.

In weakness one will fall,
and we will get our due,
A big tear- free- for- all,
will then flow over you.

So smile I know it's fake,
your friends all know it too.
With only one mistake,
and it's crying time for you.
