One-way Love

How painstakingly wrong he is
For the adolescent games he plays
Of which, an opponent I am made
Losing against his winning streak
He gains from my loss, I am defeated
Another round of heightened faith
A reoccurring disappointment repeated
Perceptible, his audacious mischief
Effortlessly robbing love just to deflate it
Gruesomely disowning me of my heart
He sets it aside to discombobulate it
To a reckless man I am in thrall
Not one chance do I stand, a lost cause
My mind is troubled by the rejection
At my dissonant heart strings he tugs
