Only in a Dream
Where gales echo music that sways with the trees
And thundering giants throw stars
So billion and billions will watch brightened skies
And know where they are.
In hopes of a dream laced with misguided matchings
Where crystals & snowflakes conjure mist under thicket thatching
On immaculate floors lined with icy white florals
In a tower made of roads marked with metaphors & a million murals.
A soft pigmented hue appears, acting as a caprice
Swift coursing gamboge laps at simmering shores
Under shimmers of a fiery, yellow puzzle piece.
The recall of these dreams haunted me
As they fed my unreachable aspirations
And wretchedly ached to be sought out.
