Onward

Onward and upward you go
I will mourn the coming days without your voice
Feel peace in the embrace
of those who've gone before
For you to stay here, there was no choice
Onward and upward
you had to leave
I will mourn the days gone by and memories shared
Find peace at last; Rest well my friend
In the forest, there's no need to be scared
Onward and upward,
finally free
I will mourn
but not long; I will try
For your body has gone, yet you still live on
Only the physical you,
said good-bye
Onward and upward;
Look after me, my friend
As I will remember you throughout remaining hours
You have not died
You have not left
In the forest you've become the flowers
Onward and upward you go
Now growing as a flower, colourful and bright
Casting beauty over dark forest floors
Bringing brightness to dark gloom's night
Onward and upward you go,rest well
I will mourn the coming days without you by
You,
now a Flower of the Forest, my friend
Will be watered from the tears
I must cry
