Open Your Eyes

Swollen face
Have you been crying?
Dry your tears
The Sun is shining
Jesus loves you
More than you’ll ever know
I can barely keep my eyes open
Life passes by my closed eyelids
I just slept for over twenty hours
Who am I?
A depressed person
Christ has saved me
I open my eyes for Him
Release the doves
Let the horns blow
I have found home
My bed is my sweet haven
But so is my faith
Muscle to muscle, toe to toe, the fear has gripped me
But here I go
My heart sinks
As I jump off
Into the path of light
Unto Jesus’ arms
My beautiful soul
The Sun is still shining
Now get out there and let the rays dry up your river of tears
You deserve a heavenly World
A rainbow after the storm
This is God’s promise
When you embrace the Sunlight
