Orange

Beneath a withered orange tree
With a moon & bright stars
We sit close knee to knee
Away from city life & speeding cars

One kiss on the hand, squeeze
A long kiss forever years to come
Do what you want with me, please
Before someone else makes me numb

Lay on a blanket made of yarn
You make me laugh & even cry
Would you leave me full or scarred
Of love or hate with that last goodbye

No matter the consequences we take
We will find each other again
No more lies, promises; no forsake
Just us, love, plural; in the rain.
