Orange October

Orange October

October is the month of bright colors
leaves are orange, brown and yellow
the wind is crisp and fresh
no more humid days of summer
shades of orange remind me of pumpkins and Halloween
childhood memories of trick or treat
children wearing fun costumes
opening their bags and waiting for pieces of candy
the taste of caramel is sweet and gooey
sour candies tasting lemony and delightful
the peanut butter cups are soft are yummy
the hot candies are like sweet flames on your tongue
sticks of bubble gum looking like cigarettes
the kids all lined up at peoples doors
waiting for a treat to unwrap and eat
“Yum, yum, yum, October is all about Halloween fun!
