Orchids To Butterflies

There once was a caterpillar in love with an orchid
But her sides were all jaded and her heart was all boarded
Up with fake plastic trees, digesting all the memories
But all it took was one talk, all it took was one walk with you
To finally find clarity- that's what orchids do to butterflies
You bring out the best in me

I saw my good friend today and told him all about it
He said that sounds wonderful, he knows how long I've waited
To finally have a slice of that happiness pie
If honesty is golden, you're a lesson in alchemy
If love were an orchestra, we'd be a symphony
There are many roses in our friendship garden
Saw my heart on a fence, but you never tried to bargain me
Best deal I ever made. - that's what orchids do to butterflies
You bring out the best in me.

When someone really loves you, they see the things you don't see
Oh look she's a butterfly, she just hasn't spread her wings
You never gave in gave up or gave out on me
You'd rather friendvest in me and see what's still left inside me
That's call love without expecting
That's what orchids do to butterflies, you bring out the best in me
