Our Bed

Her heart beats fall and beside me echo
Breath drawn in afraid to let go
To sleep would waste the precious time
I have with her this love of mine
The gradient sparkle of her eyes
Like leaves of autumn beside me lies
This woman to be my children's mother
Ties my tongue unlike no other
Lazy sheets bound to hide her body
To drive me mad and melancholy
Seductively flaunt her freckled skin
Drives me crazy from deep within
Should lighting strike or thunder stress
In here with her it matters less
The only thing that brings me fear
Is waking up without her here
