our eclipse

the sky cries differently when you know love.
it weeps happiness.
it feeds lonely strands of grass promising Eden
the sky bleeds stars resembling your visage
and mimicking your dreams at its corners.
the sky envies itself when your image,
resembling coloured clouds and heavy sunsets, appears.
a celebration of black skin and individuality.
brushed across the milkway.
God’s angels serenading you.
the moon walks in the corners of your voice,
a michael jackson memorial celebrated in your name.
the sun hands out rays and everything around is kissed
the sky cries differently when you know love.
i, the sun's daughter and you the moon's son.
every part of nature,
weeps at our eclipse.
