Our Flower Petals Have Started To Fall

Our flower petals have started to fall,
But rosy were our cheeks still.
Winter is out for a kill,
But we aren’t answering the call.
Yes, the dullness has began to sprawl
Throughout our stem, giving us a chill.
Inside might be dark, but we’ll
Embrace the sun, instead of fall.

Black were parts of us.
Gone the essential organs, and thus
All they could tell us is that
If we just waited for the tip of the hat,
Soon enough we would be saved,
And could live the life we craved.
