Our Generation

We praying for better days
This world is like a messed up maze

Our generation is so caught up on new trends
Nowadays we can't even trust our own friends
Stab each other in the back like friendship don't mean jack

Some days I wake up and pray to the Lord
That our generation will change for the best
But people would rather shoot each other in the chest

I'm tired of going to funerals and wearing all black
Remember that flashback?

Tired of people showing these kids
Violence and drugs is alright
These kids should be playing with each other
No guns, no worries, flying free like a kite
