Our Heart

We let our eyes idolize
And our minds analyze
While we hide in the lies
We've disguised as our lives
While we rationalize
We forget where compassion lies
And that's in our heart
And our hearts never lie
Actually our hearts sympathize
But we're desensitized
So to feel this
Would make us weak inside
And if weaknesses rise
Anger thrives
And while anger thrives
Compassion and sympathy die
So we're just left to idolize
And analyze
And continue to rationalize
Never able to realize
That where the answers lie
Deep inside
Have already died
