Our Lady’s Tears

Oh Lily, your scent is intoxicating
Your Presence tells me that spring is here
You look so pure in all your white
But if I were to partake in you
I would surely meet death's delight.

Oh my fair Lily, never did I see such beauty
It is said that you are born from our holy Lady's Tears
Oh how I wish I could keep you near
But my dear just last week you killed my cat
And I can't have that.

Oh Lily, as I pull you from the ground
Please know that I mean to keep you around
You are just too important to me.
Though we can not touch
You are to be a surprise in my husband's lunch.

Oh sweet Lily, I know you will help me
In making his stomach bleed
His vision will blur and his heart will beat no more.
Oh how, I will miss you so
I will just have to wait for next spring for you to grow.
