Our Loving

You drew me to your world unsuspecting
gave me your love everlasting
cherished me
freed me
allowed me
my dreaming.

I lay myself bare to you my darling
with total abandon trusting
see me
touch me
hear me
I'm affirming.

I accept the love you are offering
and return mine not caring
what future
awaits or
unveils
our loving.

This Poems Story

I have three grown children and three grandsons. I was born and raised in the Philippines. When I became a grandmother it occurred to me that a generation from now my grandchildren's Filipino herritage would disappear. I started writing anecdotes--the stack of stories grew and its leap from a disjointed sampling of my life to a memoir was not a difficult one. I also love to write poems. I have one for almost all occasions. This is dedicated to my husband Mitch. His love frees me to soar and express myself.
