OUR MASKED HEROS
Why is today different than yesterday, we ask?
We are not at work, but home wearing a mask.
Feeling sorry for myself, for the way I am living,
Forgetting about those, who are always giving.
Nurses, Doctors and First Responders,
Working around the clock, with no time to squander.
Dedicated men and women, that ask for no praise or glory,
Saving lives on a daily basis, is their story.
What words can describe these medical warriors?
Professional, Caring, Loving with pride no barrier.
We sit in our homes, safe and secure,
While they stand on their feet, from four to four.
Now is the time, for all to come together,
Show them we care, making our lives better.
A wave, a card, or a candle in window to glow,
'Thank You" Doctors, Nurses, Responders...You are our Heroes!
