Our Worlds

We touch and build a world, you and I
A private place, secure and safe within
We love and watch the hours drifting by
Until we put our dreams away again.
For, other worlds lay claim to you and me-
My children's mom, the man who calls you wife
These other worlds remind us we're not free
To stay within the world that gives us life.

Someday, I know that you and I will find
Our love and our world's pull so very strong
We'll leave our other worlds somewhere behind,
And move into the world where we belong
