Overcame The Hurdle

He broke trust; fell for lust
Love never gave up
Once I overcame the hurdle
A Long path for a small step
Love couldn’t be shut off it flickered in my heart
Shame on me for believing in the beginning
I’m a little jealous she was a slightly younger
Once I overcame the hurdle
Forged picture painted real
Love couldn’t be shut off it twinkled in my eyes
Tears of woe inflicted by the hoe
I admit thoughts of revenge were revolving
Once I overcame the hurdle
Remained honest accepted the flaws
Love couldn’t be shut off it flowed through memories
Life went in an unexpected direction
Its comedy living in anger
Once I overcame the hurdle
Lies defended by life’s reality
Love couldn’t be shut off it radiated thru out my body
Couldn’t shake this hold on Love
I was lost no longer on earth
Once I overcame the hurdle
Battle not worth the hate
Love couldn’t be shut off it over powered darkness
Love never gave up
