Pain That Changes Me

The pain I feel when I'm in need,
That's the pain that changes me.
They say the struggles real, oh AND how it can be,
That's the pain that changes me.
The loss of a love, a friend or family member,
That's the pain that changes me.
The birth of a child or a new venture,
That's the pain that changes me.
When people put their frustrations on me,
That's the pain that changes me.
To live and conform to the world's ideas of its “truth”,
That's the pain that changes me.
The thought of what's to come and where to go,
That's the pain that changes me.
The life I lived and the life in present day,
That's the pain that changes me.
To listen to the bosses antics and co-workers complaints,
That's the pain that changes me.
To laugh a good laugh that hurt my stomach,
That's the pain that changes me.
Birthing a new idea to brighten someone else's day,
That's the pain that changes me.
To be taken for granted and unappreciated,
That's the pain that changes me.
To want to repeat life everyday,
That's the pain that changes me.
