Painted Visions

There are probably colors that I haven't seen yet,
with my two inky eyes,
but I'd bet anything against the world
that the colors I see in the midnight sky,
and the colors in the sunset that you love
couldn't ever compare to the esthetic,
fluctuating,
electricity
I saw in your beautifully, painted eyes,
and felt in the middle of my stomach,
reviving me.
It felt like fireflies flew around the places I forgot had existed.
See, I've been filled before in an erratic, and unsure kind of tone.
I've been filled up with feelings so fake, I forgot I had any.
With you though, I felt my heart beat again,
and my once cold hands have found refuge in yours.
My God, if I let myself, I could love you, so deeply, it'd be
chimerical.
