Pandemic

By

9 months have passed
How long can it last
I sit at home watching TV
Hoping it will end for you and me
I walk my dog and we both wear a mask
Thinking how it was in the past
No Social distancing six feet apart
No Standing on a line with my shopping cart
No more Smiles for you and me
Wearing a mask, it’s hard to see
What bothers me about all this
I like to hug and sometimes kiss
