Pandora’s Box

Your hand in mine, no need for words.
I sit here, still, ready to listen,
one lone tear, on your cheek, does glisten.

Scared to let go, of hurt buried inside,
in Pandora's box, it does hide.
So much pain, so much grief,
let it out feel relief.

Your sobs subside, gasp of breath,
primal forlorn, as babe just born,
natures way of resetting the clock,
to calm us when emotions run amok.

I'm here for you, I'm listening, please let it go,
give your burden to me, release it so.
I cant change the past nor take the pain,
don't do this alone, your not to blame.

I know you've been hurt, your eyes many a story tell,
not happy, nor ending well.
Know that I'm here, I'm near, I'm never far,
I love and respect you, for who you are.

Past is memory it's bitter but past,
Your strong as iron, your will is now cast.
