Pandora’s Prize

A ray of first light showing through the trees

A whisper of the summer breeze

Clouds drifting by with no chance of rain

A redwood tree for shade, natures' ball and chain

A good book with knees bent or an afternoon picnic with the kids will do

The gift of each summer is exciting and brand new

Some mornings you can enjoy the sun and sweet morning dew

Or a rainbow after the rain during a windstorm

A beautiful breath taking scene too

The clear sky at night is perfect to see the bright, shining stars

Sometimes you can see a Red Moon, Pluto or Mars

Each horoscope neatly stamped in the radiant dark sky

You might even catch a glimpse of a bat flitting by

Count all of the stars in one night you can try

A ray of moonlight shining at the end of the night Pandora's prize
