Paradise of Mine

So much to marvel
In such a paradise.
Every block,
Every stop,
Could withdraw the breath
from your body.

With millions at its feet
Astonished in disbelief
For how fulfilling,
And easy it was to feel peace.
Hearts filling with youth
And minds becoming free.
The beauty of this world,
Is captured in memories.

But only temporary was this affection.
Eventually the euphoria fades.
As one returns to normality.
For this oasis was just an escape.

But not for me.
I held this feeling every day.
For my paradise
Was not far away
right by my side.
Such natural completion in my heart.
True freedom of my mind.
This paradise of mine.
