Patience
Sitting on a que
As I give birth to the urge
To cross over to the other side
Awful Invititaion to frustration and hunger to a feast
The table cloth drenched in gluttony
As the candles burn in anger
While Wine glasses spill over
Patience begs for composure
She comes in dragging shackles and chains
To strangle the pain
Changing my identity
From prisoner to a slave
Whispering "Best things come to those who wait"
As I nod my head knowing that I'll never be the same
As I give birth to the urge
To cross over to the other side
Awful Invititaion to frustration and hunger to a feast
The table cloth drenched in gluttony
As the candles burn in anger
While Wine glasses spill over
Patience begs for composure
She comes in dragging shackles and chains
To strangle the pain
Changing my identity
From prisoner to a slave
Whispering "Best things come to those who wait"
As I nod my head knowing that I'll never be the same
